The Asian Festival was founded in 2000 by Dr. Ki-Hyun Chun at Marshall Park in uptown Charlotte. Established to unite the region's Asian communities in celebration of Asian-Pacific Heritage Month each May, the Festival has grown steadily over the years—drawing visitors with its vibrant cultural performances, diverse cuisine, and unique retail offerings.
