November 2016 Edition
Dear Ascend Members and Supporters,

In light of recent events some of you may be shocked and some of you may be concerned. I want to emphasize that Diversity & Inclusion is now more important than ever and we must all stand united and be advocates for it. It transcends all that we do in our daily lives and at Ascend. As was mentioned at this year’s convention Diversity & Inclusion is not only a business imperative and not only the right thing to do, it’s the only thing to do. It’s what we stand for and it’s what we represent. So we must band together and double down on our efforts. It all begins with you, you are the voice – let it be heard!

Year end is almost upon us and I want to raise an important cause – Giving Tuesday, November 29th. #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season. I encourage our entire community to take action on Giving Tuesday and as you do your holiday and end-of-year giving, please keep the Ascend Foundation in mind. Ascend Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Pan-Asian organization primarily engaged in research with a mission to advocate, enable and assist Pan-Asians in North America to become the leaders of today and tomorrow.
