Member of the Month: Elaine Cheong, SVP‎ Bank of America Merrill Lynch; President, Ascend Greater Philadelphia Chapter

"When I relocated to the Bank of America office in Philadelphia two years ago after working to advance the expansion of its corporate banking services in APAC, I found in Ascend an opportunity that would allow me to leverage my expertise in my personal and professional capacities gained from having grown up and worked in two cultures. My passion in Ascend comes rooted in my desire to create an environment for Pan-Asians to learn from each other and bridge cultural challenges that will help them succeed in their careers. In doing so, I discovered the power of advocacy by highlighting the interests of Pan-Asian professionals as an integral part of corporations’ Diversity & Inclusion conversation. This has been a meaningful transition in my own personal journey and I’m grateful for the opportunity in being able to make a difference."
