National & Local Updates

Ascend 2019 National Convention & Career Fair in
Washington, D.C. was a huge success!

We are beyond amazed and proud of this year's convention! Top highlights include a Career Fair filled with engaging conversations between recruiters and candidates, our Women in Leadership Symposium where attendees heard from a panel of women from The Walt Disney Company discuss the importance of diversity in entertainment and the inaugural Ascend Executive Network Symposium to expand focus on Pan-Asians in broader diversity and multicultural organizations at the executive level.

Throughout the weekend, Ascend Talks with Major General Miyako Schanely Commander, 416th Theater Engineer Command, U.S. Army Reserve, Sandra Leung Executive Vice President & General Counsel, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Suneet Dua Chief Product Officer, PwC and our fireside chats with Dr. Nooyi and CNBC's Melissa Lee, SEC Commissioner Jackson and Lisa Erickson, and Farooq Kathwari and Robina Singh, captivated and left our attendees feeling inspired. Professional breakouts reflected the theme "Endless Possibilities" by featuring in-depth discussions encompassing Pan-Asian leadership, storytelling, digitally and culturally resilient organizations, global inclusion, leading with imagination, influence and impact, the new generation of talent, and diversity and inclusion on the board level.

We cover all the highlights from this year in our press release
