Ascend Seattle: Annual Gala - What is Your Legacy?

With the theme of “What is your Legacy?” the Ascend Seattle Chapter was honored to have executive producer, Teddy Zee, appear as the keynote speaker and share his insights on his own legacy. Zee has nearly 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry producing notable films, such as The Pursuit of Happiness, Hitch, and Life or Something Like It. Zee has worked alongside Hollywood’s elite including Will Smith and Angelina Jolie. Not only were the over 160 attendees able to meet and hear from Zee, they were also serenaded by MashUP, a 5 member all-girl harmonizing group who sang various renditions of recent hits.

In addition, the Seattle Chapter recognized Jon Tam's leadership as founding board member of the Chapter with the "Commitment of Excellence" award. Tam has served on the board for more than five years and has stepped down as Co-President of the Chapter. Tam is the Co-Founder of, which provides detailed information of races for runners.

Finally, the Seattle Chapter held their very first Silent Auction with proceeds going towards scholarships for their student chapter. Winners took home a variety of items, such as a private dinner for six with Jesse and Lilly Tam, wines from the Rainier Golf & Country Club, Seahawks Memorabilia, Starbucks gift set, appointments at Dalior Clinical Aesthetics, dvm Photography and many more! The Chapter was able to raise a total of $750, which does not include matching from their various sponsors! Lastly, the Seattle Chapter would like to thank their sponsors for their support at the annual gala as well as their members. They hope to see you again next year!
