Ascend NorCal Chapter's New Leader

We are very pleased to announce that Mr. Ajay Anand, Principal of Ernst & Young (EY), has accepted the role of President of the Northern California Chapter of Ascend effective July 1, 2013.  Ascend is a non-profit organization, dedicated to developing Pan-Asian American leaders. 

Ajay is the perfect person to lead Ascend’s Northern California Chapters as he is a proven senior executive with over twenty years of leadership experience.  He currently is EY’s leader for their complex program management services for the West.  In this role, he assists multinational companies in managing complex programs, driving process improvements, defining strategy and enabling technology solutions with large global companies.  He also leads the EY’s Diversity and Inclusiveness initiatives serves as the Co-Chair of EY’s Americas Steering Committee for Pan Asian professionals. 

Prior to EY, Ajay was Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for technology startups. He also held management positions at AT&T, Lucent Technologies, and BellSouth in sales, marketing, strategy, and engineering. At each of these companies, Ajay built the business and formed alliances which created revenue gains. 

With the assistance of Martine Pham, Ascend’s new West Coast Executive Director, Ajay will lead Ascend Northern California Chapter team of volunteers to deliver innovative leadership programs to the Pan-Asian American community of professionals, managers and executives.
