Looking back on the past on how Pan Asians have become thriving leaders in the present

What’s the story behind the waves of why millions of Pan Asians leave their native homeland to come to the United States?

Listen to Ron Chew, former Executive Director of the Wing Luke Museum and advisor to the International Examiner, provide a timeline of the Pan-Asian immigration movement from the Chinese Exclusion Act to the era of the Civil Rights movement in the 1970s.

Build relationships with people by having an appreciation of their background and make meaningful connections through the context of cultural experiences.

You’ll also hear from Executive Chef and Owner of Phnom Penh Noodle House, Sam Ung, talk about how he and his family and came to the United States as refugees, fleeing the Khmer Rouge.

Share this evening looking back on Pan-Asian American History.
