Keynote Speaker- Archana (Archie) Puri

VP & GM, Braintree @ PayPal


Archana (Archie) Puri is Vice President at PayPal where she heads Enterprise & Channel Partner
Segment Solutions and the GM for its Braintree business. She has 20 years of experience in
products and technology with strong domain context in Payments. Her career spans across
domains such as payments, search advertising, ad marketplaces and online job search engines.
Her blend of business acumen, strategic vision, product savvy and people-first approach has led
to her growth. She is a lead-from-the-front driver of strong positive growth in diversity within the tech space through her investments in fair hiring practices and inclusive behavior across her
teams. She was named one of the Top 25 Most Influential Women in Payments for two
consecutive years (2017 and 2018). Prior to joining Braintree, she was a senior product manager for Search Advertising at Yahoo! Inc.

Panel Discussion - Moderator: Helen Xu

Tax Partner,  KPMG LLP


Helen is a tax partner in KPMG’s Silicon Valley office. She has 20 years professional experience with KPMG Business Tax Service (“BTS”) practice, providing tax services to clients including tax provision audit, tax provision outsourcing, US tax compliance, and tax consulting/planning. Helen is specialized in income tax accounting and US tax issues. She is fluent in providing tax services to clients in Technology Industry and Manufacturing Industry.


Helen has extensive experience in ASC 740, income tax accounting. She has successfully served several large multinational technology companies in the bay area for the income tax provision audit and income tax provision outsourcing. Her experience includes 2017 US tax reform, IP onshore and offshore planning, cost sharing structure, merge and acquisition, transfer pricing controversial, and stock based compensation arrangements and the associated income tax accounting implications.

Panel Discussion - Panelist: Sonya Logman

Chief of Staff California Complete Count -- Census 2020

Sonya Logman serves as chief of staff at the California Complete Count – Census 2020 Office. Logman leads a 35-member team of gubernatorial appointees that is responsible for a $187 million budget, coordinating 150 contracted partners and executing a statewide integrated marketing campaign in 13 languages.

Prior to her current role, she served as deputy cabinet secretary in the Office of Governor Gavin Newsom from January 2019 to October 2019, where she oversaw executive branch operations for more than 24 state departments.

Logman is a member of the board of directors for the Asian Pacific Youth Leadership Project, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring Asian Pacific Islander youth to be civically engaged.

Panel Discussion - Panelist: Rupen R. Bavishi

Principal,  Advisory Services, KPMG LLP


Rupen is a Principal with KPMG’s Silicon Valley’s Advisory Practice. He is the Advisory Leader for KPMG’s Silicon Valley Market Place. He has over 23 years of professional experience providing internal audit, risk and compliance and contract compliance services to organizations in a variety of industries both in the UK and USA. Rupen is also a member of KPMG’s Bay Area Leadership Team. 


Rupen has experience in planning and executing strategic sourcing engagements with internal audit departments, conducting risk assessments, designing and assessing risk management programs, directing operational audits and internal control reviews. His main area of focus is planning, executing and managing third party risk management and contract compliance programs in the Life Sciences industry.

Manie is currently a Senior Product Manager in Vaulted Wallet Experiences at PayPal Inc. She is passionate about building products that enable and enhance user's ability to access their digital wallets and to be able to move money easily, safely and securely. With an entrepreneurial spirit, Manie enjoys collaborating with others to innovate new solutions that enable consumers to live financially healthy lives and to enable merchants to grow and scale their business seamlessly.


Prior to joining PayPal, Manie had the privilege of working alongside 10 of Silicon Valley’s finest women product leaders where she was the Director of Women in Product nonprofit organization. Within two years, she built a community of product leaders and scaled it from 10 people to 15K plus members globally.

Principal, PwC

Monica Hira joins us as an Internal Audit Solutions (IAS) principal based in San Francisco. Working
closely with NorCal Market Team Leader Jeff Fox, Monica will expand our IAS footprint among Financial
Services and FinTech clients in the West Region. As an international transfer from PwC Singapore,
Monica’s extensive global IAS experience and varied industry background will help to fuel continued
practice growth in the US.

Bonus Day w/ Celebrity Chef: Jenny Dorsey

Founder & Creative Creator, Studio ATAO

Managing Partner, 

Jenny is a professional chef, author and speaker specializing in multi-platform storytelling fusing food with social good. She leads a nonprofit community organization named Studio ATAO and runs her own culinary consulting business. Jenny is a former management consultant and Columbia MBA who decided to completely pivot her career and pursue the world of food; she worked at various Michelin-starred restaurants in NYC and SF as well as corporate food R&D before finding her voice in food as a form of social activism. She has written for outlets such as VICE, Eater, Serious Eats, Thrillist and Narratively and often speaks on the topic of food and identity. She most recently gave her first TEDx Talk titled "How Food Can Be A Source of Identity, Intimacy and Vulnerability." Her full biography, food portfolio and bylines can be found at
