Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Credits

The 2024 Ascend Convention on July 29-31 will offer CPE credit eligible sessions. Participants of eligible sessions who seek certificates of completion for CPE credit must satisfy the following requirements:
Scan in and scan out of sessions.
Time stamp showing 50 minute session attendance per credit is required to qualify for a certificate of completion for CPE credit. Expect to receive a session specific CPE survey emailed separately within 2 weeks after the convention (for those who meet the 50 min/credit attendance requirement)
Complete and return the session specific CPE survey by the deadline noted on the survey.
*Please Note: Attendees who do not satisfy the above requirements will be ineligible to receive a certificate(s) of completion for CPE credit(s). Accreditation guidelines preclude us from making any exceptions if the above 4 criteria are not met within the allotted time frames.

For additional information and the latest updates about the CPE eligible sessions, please log into the Attendee Hub for the agenda and to look for sessions labeled as CPE eligible.

Partial credit is NOT available for sessions eligible for more than 1 credit. For example, a session eligible for 2 credits will require that the participant attend for 50 minutes per credit or 100 minutes. If the participant attends for 50 minutes, they will not receive 1 credit.

Safety of our guests is paramount to Ascend. If you experience COVID symptoms or test positive, please do not attend the Ascend Convention.
Registrant understands and agrees that participating in the Event is voluntary and may involve certain risks of physical injury, damage to property, whether physical property or intellectual property, and other damages or losses that may be sustained by Registrant, and Registrant assumes all risk of damage, property loss, and/or personal injury which may occur as a result of participating in the Event, including without limitation, exposures to CDC identified pandemic level communicable illnesses (including Covid-19).
The CDC recommends staying home and away from others until at least 24 hours after both their symptoms are getting better overall, and they have not had a fever (and are not using fever-reducing medication). Note that depending on the length of symptoms, this period could be shorter, the same, or longer than the previous guidance for COVID-19. Please visit CDC website for the latest guidance:

Security measures will be in place during the event. Ascend will implement the needed measures to ensure that convention attendees feel safe. Convention badges must be worn at all times and will be required to enter convention premises. No exceptions will be made.

Consistent with Ascend's policy, there will be no refunds offered for cancellations. Registrations are non-transferable. If you are attending as part of a chapter or sponsor delegation, please register using the respective registration link/code provided to the sponsor liaison.

Full convention registration includes access to all sessions that are not designated as By Invitation. For those sessions/special programs, if you meet the criteria and are nominated to attend, Ascend will consider your nomination separately through the nomination intake process for respective special programs.

On-site check-in will be available starting on Sunday, July 28 at 3:30 pm PT. You can pick up your badge at the check in area. (New) registration may be available on-site if tickets are not sold out.

For full convention passes:
We will kick off with an Opening Plenary on Monday, July 29 at 1:30 pm PT. We will conclude with our Gratitude dinner on Wednesday, July 31 after 9:30 pm PT.

While we encourage attendees to participate in person, plenary sessions throughout the convention will be available to virtual convention pass holders and active members of Ascend. Ascend members in good standing will be able to redeem virtual convention passes. Please keep an eye out for member communications in the coming months.

You can change your information or session information in Cvent directly. Your registration login information is the email address you provided during registration. If you need assistance, please email NCregistration@ascendleadership.org.

Ascend members in good standing can avail of the member in-person convention rate. You must sign in to your Ascend membership profile first/authenticate your membership status before registering for the convention to avail of the member rate. Alternatively, Ascend members can avail of the virtual member pass that will have access to the virtual plenaries.

Sponsor discount codes can be redeemed for member or non-member in-person convention tickets, or for the virtual only convention ticket.

Dress code for the convention is business casual attire. For the Gratitude dinner (7/31), we encourage ethnically inspired/festive attire.

Yes, the Ascend Convention has its own app. Download the Ascend Global Leaders app from the App Store or the Google Play Store. Once you download the app, it will ask you for a username and password. Your username is your email address and your password is your registration reference number. We advise that you download the app before you get on-site to prevent delays due to the hotel's WiFi network.

You can use the convention app to provide session feedback. Post-convention, evaluation surveys will be sent out to collect comprehensive feedback. Please note that these are separate from the surveys for CPE eligible sessions.
