Ascend Midwest was a sponsor for the 2nd consecutive year for the Annual Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Event. The event was held at the Harris Bank Auditorium in downtown Chicago on May 20th, 2011; it was a joint effort of corporate, non-profit and government organizations. Speakers spoke on the theme of "Diversity in Action: Ready, Set, Go!” with cultural performances and a formal networking session.
