In an effort to recognize top students within the Greater Houston Area, the Houston Chapter of Ascend has teamed up with the Houston Society of CPAs ("HSCPA") to reward students pursuing studies in accountancy, taxation, and finance with scholarships and exposure to local Houston accounting firms. 

The Houston Chapter of ASCEND and the Houston CPA Society will underwrite two $2,000 scholarships for college undergraduate and graduate students studying finance, accounting, or business related studies. The scholarship will be presented at the ASCEND Scholarship luncheon on November 5th, 2010. Recipients are required to attend the luncheon, barring an emergency.
