Ascend Seattle: Developing Sponsors & Advocacy Panel
Date: Thursday, June 16, 2016
Time: 5:30 - 7:00 PM
- 5:30: Doors Open
- 6:00: Panel Begins
Location: EY Seattle Office (999 3rd Ave, 37th Floor, Seattle, WA 98104)
Description: Ascending through the ranks is based on several notions, such as role expertise, technical skills, and a strong understanding of the business. But have you ever wondered just how much your promotion is impacted by influential members of your current organization? (Hint: It's a lot)
These influential members of the organization, also known as sponsors, are intentional relationships by nature. Globally, professional firms have developed formal sponsorship programs to ensure that high-performing professionals are supported in staying visible within the organization, and continue thriving through challenging assignments.
This event will feature one of EY's newest Tax partners, Matt Rundorff, as he discusses his path to Partnership. Matt will also be bringing special guests with him, as he shares the differences between a sponsor and a mentor, the type of support/advocacy his sponsor provided to him throughout his career, and how he also sees himself acting in a sponsor role going forward.
Light appetizers will be provided.
