About our panelists
Director, IT Internal Audit
Richard is the head of IT internal audit at TrueCar. Overall, he has over 15 years of diverse experience having worked with both large and small scale companies, as well as in consulting and industry.
Prior to TrueCar, Richard was a Senior Manager with EY in the Risk Assurance Practice based out of Los Angeles serving large media and entertainment companies. His other consulting experience includes PwC as well as Arthur Anderson.
In the industry, Richard worked with the Walt Disney Company as well as Fox Interactive Media. In between these two, he was the Director Of Compliance for Myspace.com
Richard is Certified Information Security Analyst and an alumnus of the University of California.
Head of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting
Vicki Lan is the Head of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting at DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. in Glendale, California. During her six years at DreamWorks Animation, Vicki's primary responsibilities include preparation and filing of the Company's periodic reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). In addition, she is responsible for researching and advising on all technical accounting matters. She also led the implementation of the new revenue recognition standard issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board. Vicki also advises the entire DreamWorks accounting organization on a number of areas, including stock-based compensation, international accounting and statutory reporting, and other financial reporting and general accounting matters.
Prior to joining DreamWorks, Vicki began her career in 2003 in Ernst & Young's Assurance practice in Irvine, California, where she audited companies across a wide range of industries including retail and consumer products, real estate and gaming. She also spent several years in Las Vegas as part of the team that established Ernst & Young's new office, which opened in 2003.
Vicki received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Redlands where she graduated Cum Laude and with Honors. She is also a Certified Public Accountant in California and Nevada.
Deep is a principal of in the PI Advisory practice where he works with Fortune 500 companies. Over the last 16 years, Deep has been responsible for shaping and executing major transformation programs across sectors (Technology, Automotive, Life Sciences, Media & Entertainment, Consumer Products and Financial Services) in Europe, North America and Asia.
Deep worked in the UK member firm of EY before transferring to Los Angeles, and previously worked in Switzerland and India. He studied Biotechnology at the King's College London, UK and is a Six Sigma practitioner and a PRINCE2 certified project manager.
Prior to EY, Deep has lived and worked in Switzerland for 3 years, focusing on locally based global client in the region. He was a functional lead for Finance for a Pharma and Biotech company that designed and implemented a common SAP template for its European companies. The transformation for the client also led to the establishment of a pan-European Shared Service center in Hungary.
Sudarshan is a member of EY's Real Estate Tax group. He has 13 years of experience at EY, primarily in the real estate industry, providing services to prominent domestic and international real estate clients including public and private REITs.
Sudarshan focuses on tax consulting and tax compliance and his areas of specialization include cross border transaction structuring, due diligence, tax modeling and tax reporting expertise.
Sudarshan started working with the GTH in Bangalore, India in 2002 and moved to New York in 2005. After spending 10 years in NY, he moved to the Los Angeles office.
Sudarshan graduated from Bangalore University, India, with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in California and an Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent.
