Please join the Ascend Los Angeles Metro Chapter for our annual "Inspiring Across Generations" gala event. Join us on Saturday, June 13th, 2015 for inspirational thoughts from an executive career panel, a gala dinner, and networking opportunities. This year, in addition to our main program, we will also showcase exciting topics including "Online Branding," and "High Performance Culture" during our pre-gala afternoon sessions. As part of our main event, we will host an executive speaker series and a career panel who will share their insightful stories of success.

During our reception, a photographer who will shoot complimentary Linkedin portraits for our event attendees. In addition, we will have a photo booth and interactive games during our networking hour.

How do you brand yourself online? The Online Branding Session will involve a brief introduction on the prominence of social media in today's business environment and will lead into a discussion of what LinkedIn is and how to utilize LinkedIn to your advantage. This will also include a tutorial on what to put on your LinkedIn, how to navigate the settings, and content writing for your LinkedIn.

High Performance Culture Panel
Are you part of a high performing team? How do you contribute or create high performing teams? What are some of the key success factors? Common purpose, clear roles, complementary skills, and trust are among a few key factors that contribute to a high performance culture. This panel discusses the key characteristics of high performing individuals on teams.

2. "The first generation identity of the Asian American" by Karen Chung
Are you a first generation college graduate student? What type of challenges did you face? Karen Chung shares her challenges and experience as a first generation college graduate and the transition to corporate America.
Karen Chung is an Advisory Senior Manager at EY.
