Feed The Hungry
Call for volunteers
Think about this: California accounts for around 20% of homeless people across the nation. Homelessness and hunger have increased and are expected to keep rising in many cities next year, according to the latest U.S. Conference of Mayors survey of 25 large and midsized metro areas. Closer home, In Orange county itself, we have close to 11,800 homeless people but only 66 shelters with approximately 3,400 beds, the rest are forced into unsheltered locations i.e. lying on the streets, park benches, under bridges, or make shift shelters on any given night. With no shelter, money, or food, these courageous men and women look to others for help, and support.
On Saturday, Dec 20, 2014, we invite you to embark on a journey that will change the way you view and live your life by serving food to homeless men, women, and children. Please help us Feed the Hungry!
Respond early as we have a few event lead roles available which will be allocated to early respondents based on their interest.
We encourage you to invite your colleagues, clients, friends and family to volunteer as a team!
