How do I transform myself from an inexperienced speaker to a skilled presenter?
How do I speak, present, and communicate with poise, power, and persuasion?
How do I engage the audience with a speech that they will remember?

Presentations and public speaking are a part of every professional's day-to-day life, and effective communication skills are critical to personal and professional success. Ascend is pleased to host the "Clarity of Presentation" workshop on March 3, 2012. Please join us at this workshop to gain valuable insight on how to improve your public speaking techniques and communication skills. The workshop will feature a special guest speaker + Q&A, fun group activities, and a chance to network with fellow Ascend students and professionals.

Our special guest speaker, David Yi, is a Baruch graduate and currently works at JPMorgan. When he was a student, to improve his communication skills, David joined Toastmasters at Baruch and eventually became President of the club. After graduating from college, he served as President of the New York Society of Security Analysts Toastmasters. He is currently a Toastmaster Area Governor, overseeing six Toastmasters corporate clubs in downtown Manhattan. David won the Toastmasters Area 34 international speech contest in 2010. David will discuss his communications experiences and development as a student, a professional, and a toastmaster club president at this workshop.

We will also break out into fun games and activities to practice communication skills. This workshop will provide you with powerful tools and techniques to turn every presentation or networking opportunity into a rewarding experience.

Please email Irene Chan at if you have anyquestions about this workshop.
