Breakfast panel on diversity and the American workforce
The American workforce has changed significantly over the years, and reflects a population with a mix of diverse backgrounds. Larger numbers of younger Americans are ethnic minorities; conversely, increasing numbers of white workers are reaching retirement age. Managers face increasing challenges in capitalizing on their minority workforce to effectively help grow their businesses and increase their customer base for tomorrow’s workforce.
Join this informative session on June 23 to hear perspectives from representatives of the federal government and commercial industries. Featured guests are Veronica Villalobos, director of Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Office of Personnel Management, Wesley Hom, vice president & officer and national board member of ASCEND, retired vice president of IBM and Maria-Paz Barrientos, partner and S&T organization & people consulting leader, IBM.
The panel is sponsored by ALPFA and Ascend, and hosted by KPMG’s diversity networks promoting Hispanic/Latino and Asian-Pacific Islander diversity.
