Salvador is responsible for the development of a core global framework for Hyatt that enhances the company's diverse and inclusive workplace and focuses on strategies that can be implemented locally by colleagues around the world. Sal's global perspective and expertise allows him to work across several functions to build a successful strategy and implementation plan that distinguishes Hyatt as a preferred brand for employees, guests and owners. Over the last 14 years, he has ensured that all strategies reflect the principles of diversity & inclusion in Hyatt's management and operation in such areas as recruitment, staffing, sales & marketing, employee/labor relations, learning & development, supplier diversity, hotel development and communications. In addition, he is responsible for building and maintaining partnerships with global, regional and national diverse organizations.
He received a B.S. from Chicago State University and M.S. from Governors State University. Among the many accolades, Sal has been recognized with Black Meetings & Tourism APEX for Distinguished Service, Hispanic Business Magazine's 100 Most Influential Hispanics, Black Enterprise Magazine's Top Executives in Diversity, Hands On Educational Services Disability Champion Award and Chicago State University's Latino Alumni Award.
