Please join us for a discussion about how participating in community and diversity efforts can build personal and professional value for you and your organization.  Salvador Mendoza, Vice President of Global Diversity & Inclusion of Hyatt Hotels & Resorts will share his personal stories about how his commitment to diversity and to the community have been instrumental elements to his career.  Our discussion will center on actionable ways to leverage your community efforts to help build your brand.

Seating is limited.  Please register by Wednesday, June 10.  There is no cost to attend; however, you must register in order to access the 15th floor of Deloitte's building.  Appetizers will be surved.

About Salvador Mendoza

Salvador is responsible for the development of a core global framework for Hyatt that enhances the company's diverse and inclusive workplace and focuses on strategies that can be implemented locally by colleagues around the world.  Sal's global perspective and expertise allows him to work across several functions to build a successful strategy and implementation plan that distinguishes Hyatt as a preferred brand for employees, guests and owners.  Over the last 14 years, he has ensured that all strategies reflect the principles of diversity & inclusion in Hyatt's management and operation in such areas as recruitment, staffing, sales & marketing, employee/labor relations, learning & development, supplier diversity, hotel development and communications.  In addition, he is responsible for building and maintaining partnerships with global, regional and national diverse organizations.

He received a B.S. from Chicago State University and M.S. from Governors State University.  Among the many accolades, Sal has been recognized with Black Meetings & Tourism APEX for Distinguished Service, Hispanic Business Magazine's 100 Most Influential Hispanics, Black Enterprise Magazine's Top Executives in Diversity, Hands On Educational Services Disability Champion Award and Chicago State University's Latino Alumni Award.
