About our speakers:
Senior Vice President, Marketing and Promotions, Turner/Sports Illustrated Digital
Andrea's specialty is developing and executing custom advertiser solutions for all Turner/SI Digital properties. These include SI.com, NBA.com, NASCAR.com, TeamCoco.com, TBS.com, TNT.tv, and Adult Swim.com, among others. Before joining Turner, she was Senior Partner and Managing Director of Ogilvy's digital media unit, Neo@Ogilvy.
Andrea was featured as a Rising Media Star in Media Magazine. A magna cum laude graduate of Brown University with a bachelor's degree in English and American literature, Andrea lives in Manhattan with her husband and infant son.
Senior Vice President, Technology & Product, Univision Interactive Media
Mai-Wah is currently Senior Vice President, Technology & Product for Univision Interactive Media. She has over twenty-five years of experience in software development and technology innovation in the Media & Entertainment industry, and has spent her last fifteen years in IT executive positions leading major broadcast companies to use technology for business transformation and process improvement. Of particular note, Mai-Wah led Univision.com from start-up to perform and grow into a profit-making business division for Univision.
Prior to her current role, Mai-Wah served as Vice President & Chief Technology Officer for Univision Online and Director, MIS for Univision Communication Inc. Before joining Univision, Mai-Wah also spent time at Disney/ABC and GE/NBC. She is active in the M&E community, serving on the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Ad Ops Council and IAB Broadband Committee.
Mai-Wah graduated first in her class from the State University of New York at Albany, where she received her Bachelor of Science in MIS and Marketing.
Vice President, HBO Go and MAX Go
Hans Deutmeyer is the Vice President of HBO/MAX GO at Home Box Office, where he has nearly 10 years of experience developing new products and services, with a focus on new digital distribution outlets including Internet/broadband services, wireless/mobile devices, video on demand, and gaming. In Hans' current role, he oversees the product strategy, development, production and ongoing management of HBO GO, HBO's subscription-based streaming video service. His latest success is GO's national launch, bringing the service to multiple digital platforms including iPad, iPhone and Android Smartphones.
Prior to joining HBO, Hans was a Product Manager and Design Engineer at General Motors, and was also a successful entrepreneur. Hans holds an MBA from Cornell University and BS in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University.
Partner, Ernst & Young
Ekta is an Advisory Partner in Ernst & Young's Media & Entertainment group. She advises multiple clients – including Univision, Viacom, Major League Baseball, Pearson and SonyBMG among others – on the development and execution of technology strategy and architecture to achieve operational efficiencies. She has directed overall business and IT transformation initiatives designed to streamline business processes, consolidate applications and infrastructure, and achieve lasting organizational change. Ekta has substantial experience in several areas including digital asset management, digital supply chain, and digital and business rights management.
In addition to serving clients, Ekta is the People Leader for the Northeast Advisory practice and Leader of the IT Effectiveness Advisory practice. She is a member of Ernst & Young's Advisory Council, and has previously served as EY's Global Information Security Officer.
Ekta received an MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley and has an Advanced Accounting Graduate Degree from NY Institute of Technology. She holds several licenses and certifications including: CPA, CISA, CISSP, CGEIT, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma and PMI.
