Japan Disaster Donations - Ascend Fund
The Ascend organization has established a fund called The Ascend Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Assistance Fund. This is being managed by Give2Asia, founded in San Francisco over 10 years ago, and will be sent directly to local Japanese charitable organizations who are carefully vetted and applied to projects with almost no overhead. Through Give2Asia, over $150 million have funded 8,000 projects across the continent. We join other Asian-American organizations such as the Keizai Society and AAMA, and in solidarity with our Japanese board members and volunteers in Ascend, look to make a difference. Donations may be made through the website for Give2Asia and at our mixer event.
