Estimated Time: 2 hr 15 minutes

This is an Interactive Workshop. Participants will have small group hands-on workshop with senior business leaders. The business leaders will share experiences through a short panel format, and then through intimate small group work tables.

Have you ever felt that your management style work better for some teams than others? How can you be an effective manager in different environments? Upon completion of the workshop, participants will learn to understand their own management style, as well as how their management style can impact others’ behaviors, in order to be effective in any environment. This workshop will explore techniques on how to lead your workgroup to achieve optimum results. 

Panelists will also discuss how to work with peers/ superiors to leverage best practices and achieve success. Panelists include:

Yasuko (Jackie) Matsumura

Jackie has more than fourteen years of experience in public accounting, specializing in compliance and strategic planning for real estate partnerships and limited liability companies. She is the co-chair of BPM’s real estate industry group. Jackie started her career with Arthur Andersen in Honolulu; then in San Francisco where she was part of the real estate group. 

Susan Wang
Retired Former Chief Financial Officer, Solectron, Board member of Nektar, Altera Corporation, Avanex, and Premier
Susan Wang is a retired senior executive and corporate officer who spent more than 25 years in high-tech financial, consulting and senior management positions. As the former CFO of Solectron, she had responsibility for Solectron’s long-range planning process and business development efforts and was the electronic manufacturing services industry’s highest-ranking female executive. Susan currently serves as a member of the board of directors for Nektar, Altera Corporation, Avanex Corporation, and Premier.

Him Wong
VP Finance of Genesys Telecomunications 
Him Wong, Vice President of Finance at Genesys Telecommunications (an Alcatel-Lucent Company), currently provides overall direction for the company's planning and budgeting, financial reporting, field finance operations, real estate and corporate financial management. Over the last 8 years, Him has led the company through survival, turnaround, growth, and recently downturn modes and built world class support teams and systems. 

Dennis Wu
Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Dennis Wu & Associates; Director, UCBH Holdings, Inc.
Dennis retired in 2004 after being with Deloitte & Touche for 37 years. He was the founding and national managing partner for Deloitte’s US Chinese Services Group and founding and managing partner for Deloitte’s Northern California and Hawaii Financial Industry Group. He also served as one of five national diversity leaders for Deloitte.
