Roy Weathers

In July 2007, Roy assumed the role of US Chief Diversity Officer for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. He also serves as a member of the US Leadership Team. Roy is a tax partner in the New York Financial Services Tax Practice, which includes banking, capital markets, insurance, investment management and real estate. He has extensive expertise advising financial services clients, principally money center and international investment and commercial banks. Roy provides his clients with a full range of tax services including planning and compliance, covering federal, state, and international tax issues. He has managed a number of PricewaterhouseCoopers global tax teams around the world on engagements at large national and multinational financial institutions. Roy is currently serving real estate advisors, real estate private equity funds, REITs and institutional real estate investors. He deals extensively with the tax and business issues encountered in institutional real estate investment, with particular emphasis on tax issues specific to exempt investors, REITs, investments in US and non-US real estate.

oy Weathers earned his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Winthrop University and his Masters in Accounting and Taxation from Clemson University. Roy is a Certified Public Accountant in the States of New York and South Carolina. Roy is a member of the A.I.C.P.A., N.Y.S.S.C.P.A. and the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc., New York Chapter. He also a board member for several charitable organizations including The Partnership for the Homeless, the Healthcare Chaplaincy and New York Multiple Sclerosis Society. Roy is married to Rebecca and has one daughter, Savannah.
