Our Actions and How We do it
We have Ascend monthly all-officer meetings and periodically committee meetings, focusing on event planning and service improvement. Moreover, we grab the opportunity to not only help our members grow professionally and technically but also connect with organizations and departments campus wide. We participate in as many JSOM and University events as we can, such as Homecoming, SOC meeting, spring "Fun" Raiser and so on, with a positive impact. At the beginning of each semester, our senior Ascend members serve as volunteers at Ascend Orientation Booth for one to two weeks to promote Ascend and recruit new members. We plan ahead during summer/winter break to train volunteers in order to provide best services to help new students to get involve in Ascend and other student organizations. Also, we host welcome back party, opening to students who are interested in Ascend. Our faculty advisor Professor Mary Beth Goodrich and all the officers gives out a systematic introduction and answer students’ questions.
